INTERNATIONAL INTERNSHIPS
Education Abroad Program
Most career related internships re part of
existing Study Abroad programs where credit
is possible
for the volunteer experience. See EAP IN THE
FIELD for options by country. It might be possible
to negotiate 199 independent research credit
for such field work that is supplemental to
the year, semester or summer study abroad curriculum.
Be sure to visit the UCSB EAP Campus Office
in
2nd Floor South Hall.
To insure transfer of credit from a non-UC study
abroad program, your program must be accredited
or recognized by the Ministry typically indicated
on the program website. For questions or concerns,

Travellers
Worldwide
Travellers arranges voluntary work placements overseas. These projects are open
to everybody from 17-99, and all nationalities are welcome! You can volunteer
in Argentina, Australia, Bolivia, Brazil, Brunei, China, Cuba, Ghana, Guatemala,
India, Kenya, Malaysia, Peru, Russia, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Zambia
or Zimbabwe. Travellers projects are very flexible (2 weeks - 1 year) and varied.
All your food and accommodation and in country transfers and transportation are
included in the cost as well as excellent 24/7 support and back up staff. You
will receive plenty of preparation information and support before your departure
and Travellers will keep in touch throughout your project to ensure you are happy
and well on your placement. Your volunteering contribution benefits the community
and provides a lifetime experience that is safe and structured for the volunteer.
Fundraising is available for all projects.
