California Commission of Teacher Credentialing
Get all the information you could want about California Teaching Credentials at this site. It is a deep page and contains a wealth of incredibly useful and pertinent information.

Get That [Education] Gig
A fun site to check out if you want to learn more about the profession of education. Includes “A Day in the Life of…” to provide you with more information about various positions.

Ph.D.org
This is a decent place to visit if you’re a grad student in science, math, or engineering. If you want to read about hiring trends and other grad student issues, I think you'll like this site.

National Center for Education Information
Provides state contacts form alternative teacher certification.

Bilingual Ed/ESL
You can search by program name, USA state, or by country to locate the right program for you - once you have found the right ESL program for you simply use the contact form to email the school directly.

Indiana Department of Education
This site allows you to locate state departments of education - an incredible resource for people looking for employment outside of their own state.

Academic Employment Network
This site contains educational employment opportunities for teachers and other school-related positions at all academic levels in various states throughout the U.S.

Teacher Preparation Programs
Locations for University and District internships.

UCSB Gervitz School of Education
While not exactly an internship program, the Teacher Preprofessional Teaching Education Program does provide an opportunity for undergraduate and graduate students to gain valuable fieldwork hours and learn first-hand about the duties and responsibilities of classroom teachers.

Santa Barbara City College
Another local possibility for gaining fieldwork hours is the “Become a Teacher!” program at Santa Barbara City College.

National Retired Teachers Assocation
AARP’s Educator Community is America's foremost network of 50+ adults and organizations with a passion and affinity for education and learning. NRTA members share a commitment to learning, voluntary service and civic participation.

The Association of Teacher Educators
The only national, individual membership organization devoted solely to the improvement of teacher education for both school and campus-based teacher educators.

The largest teacher placement service in the United States. Accredited by the National Association of Teacher Agencies to help teachers, specialists and administrators to find positions. No actual postings are listed--you must apply.

Education Jobs Site
Here’s a specialized web site listing employment opportunities in the education field. Sponsored by NationJob, all types of positions are listed.

Teach For America
Offers unique teaching opportunities for individuals wanting to expand their own possibilities while expanding the possibilities of American's most needy children. To learn more and/or apply to become a corps members check out this site. No teaching certificate is required to participate in this program.

National Educators Employment Network
