What are your specialty
areas/majors?
I am the career
counselor for the Life & Physical
Sciences students covering majors such as; Environmental
Studies, EEMB, MCDB, Geography, Earth Science,
Chemistry and Biochemistry, Bren School of Environmental
Science and Management and Exercise & Sports
Studies (minor). During a typical career service
workday, you will find me advising students during
drop-in hours as well as appointments, facilitating
career services workshops, performing career
assessment interpretations and collaborating
with faculty and academic advisors in my career
areas. What other careers have
you had?
Working at UCSB
has been a dream opportunity ever since I
starting in career counseling in
2005. Most recently I have worked as a career
counselor at the UC Davis Internship & Career
Center as well as a recruiting coordinator in
the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley. Working
with students and their careers is something
I am extremely passionate and committed to and
I look forward to meeting UCSB’s best and
brightest. Before career counseling I spent 6
years as an outside sales representative for
a promotional company along with working in a
family restaurant for 5 years.
When you are not on campus,
what do you like doing
When I am not at work
I enjoy all outdoor activities. I am an avid
sports fan who enjoys swimming,
biking, kayaking and hiking. I participate in
triathlons throughout the year as well. I enjoy
reading, traveling and spending time with my
fiancé and family. I have spent the last
32 years in the Bay Area and am excited for my
move down south!
